Join the National Citizen and Community Science Network! What is citizen science?A collaboration between scientists and those of us who are curious, concerned, and motivated to make a difference. It’s how people can make an impact on issues they care about from public health to outer space. Many libraries across the country are becoming hubs for citizen science, where people can access books, field guides, computers, Wi-Fi, subject matter experts, telescopes, and other citizen science resources. Some libraries are even housing citizen science projects with specialized tools like telescopes and light sensors, that enable patrons to complete projects. Who should join? All libraries (academic, public, school, and special) are invited to join the National Citizen and Community Science Library Network. Individuals, groups, or organizations interested in supporting library engagement in citizen science, are also invited to join. Why should I join?
