The Annual Meeting of the American Association of Variable Star Observers is returning to Somerville, Massachusetts! Join us to learn how observing variable stars can contribute to scientific knowledge. The weekend event opens with a reception and guest speaker on Friday evening, followed by two days of programming, including the Landolt Lecture, keynote speakers, research presentations, and the Membership Meeting. The conference closes with a banquet on Sunday evening. Keynote sessions 40 years of Research on Cataclysmic Variables with AAVSO Presented by Dr. Paula Szkody from the University of Washington Looking for the Footprints of Protoplanets Presented by Dr. Katherine Espaillat from Boston University Imaging Stars with the CHARA Array Presented by Dr. Gail Schaefer from Georgia State University Presentations and the Membership Meeting will be simulcast live on Zoom.
