This citizen science project aims to discover what leaves Megachile female bees (predominantly in the subgenus Eutricharaea) use to line their nests in Australia. If you see a leaf or petal with a perfect smooth disc cut out of it (semi-circle shape), take a photo of the leaf/petal as well as the plant as a whole, ID the plant, and add your observations to this project. If you see a Megachile female in action cutting the leaves (or petals), please add that photo as well! Include in the comments that you also have a photos of the bee and I can ID it where possible, but please when adding an ID to your observation in iNaturalist identify the plant. If you have more than one plant with Megachile leaf-cuts take photos of each, this can help us know what their favourite plants are! This project will help us understand what non-food resources are important for these Megachile bees and support their nesting
