Join us online to begin your Neighborhood Scientist journey! Local botanist Nikolai Starzak will train attendees on how to gather meaningful data about the natural world around us using simple tools and observation. We'll examine mosquito habitats, native biodiversity, air and water quality using Neighborhood Science kits. The kits—available at select locations—contain all the instruments a wannabee scientist needs to collect and share information that helps experts understand the impact of climate change, pollution and ecosystem shifts. You'll never look at your neighborhood the same way again.
The program is suitable for ages 9 and up.
