This is an Ambassador Workshop! Calling all certified SciStarter Ambassadors! Join us to explore CoCoRaHS: the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow Network. Learn how to record and share precipitation with the National Weather Service to improve weather forecasts. Discover how this impactful project benefits communities—and learn how to bring it to your own community! Guest Speaker Noah Newman will be joining us from the CoCoRaHS project. The data from this project are used by the National Weather Service, meteorologists, hydrologists, emergency managers, city utilities, insurance adjusters, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, engineers, mosquito control, ranchers and farmers, outdoor and recreation interests, teachers, students, and neighbors in the community.
