The project was supported by funding from the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development - Innovation and Next Practice and the Atlas of Living Australia. Key online tools were developed in association with EarthWatch and the Atlas of Living Australia. Project development was also informed by the Department of Sustainability and Environment's Land and Biodiversity White Paper, the Victorian Biodiversity Strategy and the aims of the International Year of Biodiversity 2010.
