My name is Anne and I am a graduate student at Penn State studying predation of spotted lanternfly by birds and other native predators. If you spot a bird or other predator feeding on a spotted lanternfly, I would appreciate it if you could share what you saw with me. Please include the common name of the predator if possible, the date and location of the observation, and any behaviors you noticed by the predator. In particular did the predator just attempt to eat the insect but then drop it, or did it finish eating it? Did it spit out the wings, but eat the rest? You can also email me directly at birdsbitingbadbugs@gmail.com. Pictures would also be appreciated!
