Learn how you can get involved with butterfly research in Nebraska! NGPC is looking for volunteers to conduct at-risk butterfly surveys this summer. Volunteers should be able to conduct two surveys, one in June, and one in July. All 2020 survey volunteers MUST complete a butterfly survey training prior to the start of the season. This FREE workshop will include information about at-risk butterflies, butterfly and plant identification, and how to conduct surveys. No prior experience is required. This event will be taking place both inside a classroom and outside in the prairie. Participants should dress for the weather and bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a sack lunch.
