Join us as Ian Ives, of Mass Audubon's Long Pasture, tells us about Osprey behavior and how WE can help the Ospreys on Cape Cod! The Cape Cod Osprey project seeks to map and track all of the Osprey nests on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Since 2008 they have mapped over 220 nest locations, many more than were thought to exist on the Cape. Using their network of volunteers they have collected productivity data (number of chicks fledged/pair) on up to 140 nests. They are looking for volunteers to help monitor nesting behavior of ospreys and help us map new nest locations.
This program was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services CARES Act Grant through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners award LS-246539-OLS-20.
