Cape RADD are a team of marine biologists and dive experts who specialize in scientific SCUBA diving, free diving and snorkeling as approaches to data collection on the marine ecology of South Africa.
We offer a very unique marine citizen science experience, whereby the general public can engage in real marine research projects alongside marine biologists collecting data and learning more about what you are seeing and why, with biology and ecology presentations and detailed dive briefings before participating in a marine dive/snorkel surveys.
You will have the opportunity to collect data on fish species and abundance in the kelp forests, seal behavior and fishing line entanglement rates, abundance and distribution of the endemic benthic sharks and their eggs along the pristine coastal waters of the Cape peninsula.
