The CBT EC+TC Kit is a simple, portable, biological water quality test kit that simultaneously detects and quantifies E. coli and Total Coliforms bacteria in a 100 mL sample. Users can detect or measure either or both types of bacteria.
Our test kit is easy to use with little training. Color-change test results are easy to interpret.
The CBT EC+TC Kit comes with 25, 50 or 100 samples per kit. We provide two types of kits:
+ CBT Presence/Absence (P/A) Kit generates "Yes" or "No" test results
+ CBT Most Probable Number (MPN) Kit quantifies the concentration of bacteria in the sample with our color-coded MPN Table
Our kits are designed for on-site, field level testing in low resource areas and have unique capabilities:
+ No lab or electricity required
+ Ambient temperature incubation at 25° Celsius and above
+ Ambient temperature test results in 20-48 hours
+ Work at variable temperatures, temperature control not required
+ Compact and lightweight, small number of consumables
+ Two-year shelf life
The CBT EC+TC Kit tests drinking water, as well as surface, recreational and waste waters using easy 1:10 dilutions for waters with higher concentrations of bacteria.
CBT Kit users can also download the free mWater Surveyor app onto smart phones to: automatically calculate MPN test results for drinking water; share real-time test results; create maps and visualizations of CBT water quality data; geocode test results with smartphone GPS; create their own surveys using the CBT Kit or use mWater’s built-in surveys; combine test results with other survey questions.
