Every April, the American Heart Association promote Move More Month (MMM). Its aim is to encourage everyone to take part in more physical activity. In the US, MMM is kicked off by National Walking Day and National Walk to Work Day on April 1 and 3, respectively. I walked at the Arcadia Ecohome Microforest, a pocket forest of 500+ trees certified as a Wildlife Habitat and Pollinator Habitat, to take part in those awareness campaigns for walking and moving. In light of World Health Day coming up, celebrated annually on Tuesday April 7 to mark the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO) and being one of 11 official global health campaigns marked by the WHO, I as a member of the WHO IPC Global CoP, I've planned a small group walk at and around the Arcadia Ecohome's Micro-forest to take part in the global celebration of the World Health Day on this April 7. As nature lovers, the walk will also include observations & recordings of widldlife that we encount, as part of our participation in the Citizen Science Month and support to the Million Acts of Science. We all know walking in the woods is beneficial for our body in many ways. Happy World Health Day and Citizen Science Month 2026 with walking in the woods!
