Join the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County as we explore Devil's Punchbowl Natural Area. Situated just north of the San Gabriel Mountains in Antelope Valley, Devil's Punchbowl is a unique geological area and contains several different types of landscapes. Scientists and educators from the Museum and the County of Los Angeles Parks and Recreation will show you and your family how to explore this setting while also taking photos of wildlife - for science. This event will take place during the four-day long City Nature Challenge, the world’s largest community science competition. Your photos of animals, plants, and fungi will count toward Los Angeles County’s total as we compete against over 150 cities worldwide to see which city can document the most wildlife. Whether you’re in it to help win the City Nature Challenge, or just curious to learn more about the plants and animals of Devil's Punchbowl, we hope that you will join us for this day of exploration and observation.
