Author Dean Goodwin presents ‘Climate Change for Beginners’ on June 22, 2016 at Schoodic Institute.
The presentation will provide an historical perspective and overview of global warming. The latest scientific evidence regarding the causes of climate change will be described, and the potential consequences for the Earth, and Maine in particular, will be discussed. Steps to finding solutions to slow the rate of climate change will be highlighted. This presentation is free and open to the public. Goodwin will address guests at Moore Auditorium on the Institute campus at 7 p.m.
Dean Goodwin, PhD, is a nationally recognized environmental educator with an honors degree in biochemistry, a post-graduate certificate in science education, and a PhD in mechanistic organic photochemistry. He has more than 25 years of teaching experience at both the college and secondary level, and he currently teaches at The Tatnall School, a private college preparatory school in Greenville, Delaware.
