Help us find exotic clouds high in the Martian atmosphere! This project is a part of SciStarter's Citizen Science Month. Join the Argenta Library as we spot clouds using data obtained by NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter! We will be searching through data acquired by the Mars Climate Sounder--an instrument that peers at the horizon of the planet in the infrared and visible to measure temperature, water-ice, and dust content of the atmosphere on Mars. The data collected through this project by citizens across the globe will help scientists better understand cloud changes during different seasons on Mars! No registration required, but laptops for the project are limited. We encourage you to bring your own laptop or tablet if you are able. If you have any questions, please reach out to Megan at mtrout@nlrlibrary.org. To learn more about the project, please visit the link below. Cloudspotting on Mars -- Additional Information This program is supported in part by the Science Across America Campaign, a collaborative initiative from HHMI Tangled Bank Studios and STAR Net.
