The first half of this webinar will cover the importance and how tos of habitat gardening. The second half will discuss what to plant for color, texture, etc. for year-round interest – delighting both you and the creatures that inhabit your garden. Irene Shonle, PhD, is the Horticulture Associate for Colorado State University Extension in El Paso County and has worked extensively with the Native Plant Master program. She is also a former Vice President of the Colorado Native Plant Society. Irene has taught in the field, in the classroom, and at conferences around the State; and she gardens mostly with natives at her home and in demonstration gardens.
