Join us for this outdoor, all ages program at Stenger Farm Park at 128 Clark Lane (across from Clark Lane Middle School)! An educator from the Connecticut Audubon Society's Roger Tory Peterson Estuary Center will teach us how to use the Merlin and e-Bird apps for tracking bird sightings. These apps can then be used to participate in a citizen science activity to help track this fall's bird migration during the "Big Day" bird count on October 12. In the event of rain, the program will be moved to the Community Center at 24 Rope Ferry Road.
Program funded by a grant from SciStarter in partnership with HHMI Tangled Bank Studios.
As space is limited, registration is required. Participants will need to bring a smart phone or tablet on which they will download and use the apps. As this is an off-site event, all adult participants are required to complete a waiver & release form for themselves and/or their minor age children. Copies of the waiver will be provided at the event.
