Desert Rivers Audubon proudly supports City Nature Challenge presented by members Mel (a SciStarter ambassador!) and Adam Narish. The City Nature Challenge is a worldwide BioBlitz where communities work together to document birds, plants, and wildlife to create a yearly global snapshot of life on Earth. From April 24–27, participants across the Greater Phoenix area (and the rest of the world!) will photograph wild plants, birds and animals using the iNaturalist app.
Anyone can participate and every observation helps scientists better understand urban biodiversity. No experience needed. If you can take a photo, you can do this! At the event your leaders will show you how to capture species using the iNaturalist app, so you can contribute to real scientific research.
