ECO Districts Hampton Roads is a District Scale Initiative that utilizes a prescribed methodology to help advance challenged and underserved communities. It incorporates three imperatives; Equity, Resilience and Climate Protection. In addition, the methodology focuses on six priorities that include; Place Making, Connectivity, Resource Restoration, Health, and Wellness; Living Infrastructure, Prosperity, and Climate Adaptation. The ECO District Hampton Roads Citizen Science Corps will focus on projects and create collaboratives that help to advance the district projects through the conduct of community-based research in areas including but not limited to transportation, earth science and the environment, water and air pollution, land use, housing, climate and severe weather emergency response, parks and green space, economic development and job creation
