eShark, hosted by eOceans, has been rigorously developed through collaborations with divers, statisticians, biologists and experts in the field of citizen science.
It is led by Dr. Christine Ward-Paige, who has specialized in crowdsourcing ocean data with a focus on sharks and rays.
Our work is global, but driven by local needs - we help local scientific investigations that led locally by scientists, NGO's, community interest groups, governments, tourism industry, etc.
We help them to gather, validate, store, process, analyze, and interpret changes in their oceans using their data.
We have just completed a 5 year high-resolution snapshot of sharks and rays in Thailand with Shark Guardian, sharks, rays, and turtles in Fiji through the Great Fiji Shark Count - both of which were designed to provide insights on change.
