Pollinators are in decline on a global scale due to habitat loss, parasites, and pesticides. This greatly impacts our agriculture system and ecosystem health. The Great Sunflower Project works with citizen scientists and researchers to monitor which pollinators are in decline and what plants are still supporting them. The data also help scientists teach people about pollinator friendly gardens and help influence pesticide and agricultural policies. See how your contributions matter! Join SciStarter on Facebook Live to ask a scientist about your local pollinators, good plants for your garden, their career, and more. This event is open to everyone and Verizon Corporate Employee Volunteers are invited to tune in and take part. Joining this Facebook Live interview counts as one credit of volunteer service time.
