Join the library and fellow bird enthusiasts at this showing of the documentary "Flyways"! The film follows a conservation movement of bird-loving experts and citizen scientists as they mobilize to the challenge of understanding and saving shorebirds. Many shorebirds fly thousands of miles each year along ancient and largely unknown migratory routes called Flyways, some species flying up to nine days non-stop without food or water. Unfortunately, amidst climate change and urban development, their populations are crashing. They need our help more than ever! After the "Flyways" watch party, get inspired to participate in citizen science projects by completing a bird-themed craft. This documentary is rated TV-14.
