Welcome to our Friends of the Lower Blue River BRAT Project We’re working with wildlife managers at Colorado Parks and Wildlife to better understand existing beaver-friendly habitats in the lower Blue River Valley between Silverthorne and Kremmling. It’s a big watershed area with extensive public lands well suited to citizen scientists exploring, monitoring, and sharing observations of aquatic habitats and the diverse wildlife, including beaver, that populate our stream corridors. You can help us, either individually or as part of a BRAT team, to validate our part of the statewide Beaver Restoration Assessment Tool (BRAT) mapping prepared by the Colorado Natural Heritage Program.
