FrogID's Nadiah Roslan will talk about frog conservation using the power of citizen science through the Australian Museum’s FrogID app.
Frogs play an important role in our environment and provide an indicator of environmental health. Sadly, frog numbers are in decline and one of the biggest barriers to their conservation is lack of information. One way that citizen scientists are helping address knowledge gaps is by recording frog calls with the free FrogID app.
This presentation will share some of the ways in which the national FrogID project is informing frog research and conservation, what frog species we are monitoring across the country, and how to take part in FrogID Week – Australia’s biggest frog count!
