The goal of the study is to establish a Gambling Functional Assessment for Sport Betting. Currently, there are limited treatment resources for clinicians working with adults who wager on sports. Furthermore, little is known about the variables that are believed to maintain gambling behaviors for non casino types of games of chance (i.e., polymarket and prizepicks or other app-based sports books). Therefore, the purpose of the current study is to conduct a factorial analysis on items that align within a functional behavior assessment, similar to previously established tools (i.e., Gambling Functional Assessment-II; Dixon, Wilson et al., 2018). All procedures will be completed on a Qualtrics survey through Fresno State. Inclusion criteria will include 18 years or older and reporting betting on sports (including polymarkets and other app-based sports books like fantasy sports) in the past year. If the participant selects the box to waive consent, they will then complete the following questionnaires in a random order. Participants will complete a demographic survey as well as three surveys related to gambling (PGSI, GFA-II and the GFA Sports Betting). After completing all surveys, participants will be prompted to provide their email address for a chance to win one of 10 $100 gift cards drawn from a raffle at the end of the study.
