The April 8 total solar eclipse is nearly here, and The GLOBE Program is launching a new challenge to help you get ready. The GLOBE Eclipse Challenge: Clouds on a Solar-Powered Earth runs March 15 through April 15, and it invites volunteers to use the GLOBE Observer app to collect cloud observations throughout the day. Then, on April 8, use the GLOBE Observer app to track changes to clouds and temperatures during the eclipse, within totality and beyond. In addition, on March 21 at 8 pm ET, GLOBE Clouds lead, Marilé Colón Robles, will be available to answer all of your questions about the challenge and GLOBE Eclipse in a live virtual event called GLOBE Observer Connect. She will explain why clouds change across the day and how they might change during the 8 April total solar eclipse. Register today at: observer.globe.gov/go-connect. Prepare for the Connect event by reading our latest science blog: GLOBE Eclipse Challenge: Clouds on our Solar-Powered Earth: https://observer.globe.gov/news-events-and-people/news/-/obsnewsdetail/19589576/globe-eclipse-challenge-clouds-and-our-solar-powered-earth
