Glossy Black-Cockatoo records are entered into a centrally managed database that is used only for genuine conservation purposes. The database is managed by researchers at Griffith University in collaboration with Conservancy members, particularly Birds Queensland and the Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM)
Data is made available to local councils and the Department of Environment and Resource Management (QLD) to assist in more informed decision making surrounding conservation and land use management practices.
The compilation of submitted records from this survey provides a valuable resource to informing the future management of the species and its habitat.
