Habitat Stewards are volunteers trained by the National Wildlife Federation to help people create and restore wildlife habitat in their communities. Stewards lead efforts to build wildlife habitats, provide information about conservation and environment initiatives, and organize landscapes in public places and home settings.
Habitat Stewards take intensive, hands-on training facilitated by the National Wildlife Federation. Stewards are asked to volunteer for 30 hours of service within a year of completing their training. Their work will play an important role in the National Wildlife Federation's mission to educate, inspire, and assist individuals and organizations of diverse cultures in conserving wildlife and other natural resources.
