This event is suitable for adults and families who enjoy the outdoors and observing nature. The volunteers will be trained on how to use iNaturalist, a mobile app for documenting wildlife. Volunteers will then be guided through the park by a "Storywalk" installation created by the local library and catalog all the living things in the area using the iNaturalist app. By cataloging the biodiversity of the park, Chandler's local government can make decisions on how to best support the native life and develop conservation plans as needed. This activity will take about an hour with an optional follow up activity to monitor the health of local pollinators through a related citizen science project.
