The Respiratory Health Study aims to provide near real-time surveillance data on influenza-like illness and coronavirus-like illness. The study focuses on understanding how risk factors contribute to respiratory illnesses and whether participants’ behavior changes due to the presence of symptoms, test results, or vaccination status. Participants self-report respiratory symptoms, preventative measures they may have taken, influenza and COVID-19 vaccination status, and influenza and COVID-19 test results through short weekly surveys. The study is open to adults in the United States, and users enroll and participate in the study through the Google Health Studies app, available for download in the Google Play Store.
