Will robotic cars leave you room to merge? Will your ideas get due attention on social media? Will robotic CEOs exhaust our planet’s resources? These are examples of a resource-division game called "MAD Chairs". Robots and AI are guided by the best science they can find, so inventing better chess strategies changes their chess behavior and inventing better "MAD Chairs" strategies will change the ways they share space, attention, and other resources. Will robots take turns or will they hoard? The experiment for this science takes the form of a competition now open until 24 Dec 2026 with an awards ceremony to be held at the international IEEE SSCI 2027 conference. If you care about how resources will be divided in the future, then please submit your ideas as an entry to this contest. If you care about democracy--about empowering all people to participate in the design of their future--then please spread the news that this contest is open to all. Thank you for making a difference!
