Our Save Our Streams program encompasses multiple states that monitor the water quality of streams and educates the public about the importance of clean water. Having site-specific, timely water quality information allows us to identify pollution problems, determine how to restore streams, and assess the success of restoration efforts.
Izaak Walton League of America is hosting a Save our Streams workshop where you will learn how we monitor our local streams and identify problems within them. The workshop will include biological, chemical, and physical monitoring techniques which involves macroinvertebrate collection and identification, water analysis and overall how the stream looks. These important parameters are what makes our Save our Streams program a success.
We have a maximum occupancy of 25 participants so register quickly to get a spot!
