We run expeditions to conduct field work in remote regions of tropical north Queensland, including the Gulf of Carpentaria and the Cape York region. Our expeditions can be joined by interested members of the public. As our research locations are very remote and we often camp in the middle of nowhere, we require you to be over 18, and reasonably fit to help us with our research. You will learn how to conduct ecological research with sharks, and rays, including sawfish. On our application form we ask you questions about your qualifications. These are not required but allow us to put teams together to create an environment where we can all learn from each other.
Please be aware that we collaborate with Indigenous Ranger groups wherever we can, and we also visit local schools on our expeditions.
