What is Journey North?
Journey North is a community science program of the UW-Madison Arboretum. Thousands of volunteers across North America will contribute observational data that help track wildlife migration and seasonal change. Journey North volunteers track the migration of:
- Monarch butterflies
- Six species of hummingbirds
- American robins
- Common loons
- Red-winged blackbirds
- Baltimore, Bullocks and orchard orioles
- Barn swallows
- Bald eagles
