From June 7 to August 7, join the #LABioBlitz Challenge using the iNaturalist citizen science project (available on iOS and Android) to photograph, record, and map the biodiversity (i.e., wild plants, animals, and insects) around your home, neighborhood, parks, or when you visit hiking trails and other natural areas in L.A. City. Your observation photos and sound recording will be important data to support the City's biodiversity research and efforts to conserve wildlife and protect their habitats in our communities. Complete the challenge for an opportunity to win an exclusive Nature Exploring Kit. This Family-friendly challenge is for ALL AGES. The L.A. BioBlitz Challenge is a partnership between Los Angeles Public Library's Neighborhood Science (NeiSci) Initiative and LA Sanitation and Environment's Biodiversity Program.
