Malleefowl occur across semi-arid Australia, from inland NSW and north-western Victoria, through parts of SA into the Wheatbelt of WA. They are the only threatened species of Australia’s megapodes, and the National Malleefowl Recovery Team is conducting research and monitoring activities to ensure the species’ survival.
