Melbourne BioBlitz is back! The City of Melbourne’s second BioBlitz is coming on 4 to 5 March. Over 24 hours, you can join 25 guided events from beachcombing to bat detecting, led by some of Melbourne’s finest biodiversity experts and ecologists. Help us find out more about the many species that call the city home. You can: · Register for events at locations including Royal Botanic Gardens, Royal Park, Westgate Park and the University of Melbourne Parkville Campus. · Visit our ‘BioBlitz basecamp’ outside the Melbourne Museum at Carlton Gardens from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 5 March. · Submit photos of species that you spot around the city via our website or BowerBird. Sharing on social media? Don’t forget to hashtag - #bioblitzmelb · Attend a free Melbourne Conversation event about nature in our liveable city with host, Rob Gell on Wednesday 25 February. From 3 March to 1 April, you can also take part in our Backyard Blitz by conducting your own surveys within the City Of Melbourne at any time and place - from your backyard, balcony, school, laneway or street.
