EMERGE invites people worldwide, of all ages and backgrounds, to participate in meaningful, data-driven science focused on mosquito-borne disease, environmental change, and public health. We use NASA GLOBE Observer and other tools. Explore our curricula: https://geoemerge.com/curricula Whether you’re a library staff member organizing local events, a teacher looking for classroom materials, a public health official exploring local data, or simply a curious learner — you belong here. We are inviting you to join us for live, online “meet up and do science” sessions. These sessions are designed as interactive, online meet-ups where participants will contribute to real science together. You’ll be guided through a hands-on activity using land cover observations and learn how these contributions support forest monitoring, climate research, and land use analysis. The sessions will be led by Peder Nelson, Senior Instructor of Geography and Geospatial Sciences at Oregon State University and OregonView State Coordinator. No prior experience is needed. Join for as long as you’d like and contribute to real science alongside others.
