The King Tides Project is a global citizen science initiative that invites the public to help document extreme high-tide events. By capturing and sharing photos of king tides and related flooding, participants create a visual record of today’s shoreline and infrastructure. These community-contributed observations help researchers, planners, and coastal managers better understand how rising seas affect neighborhoods, ecosystems, and public investments—both now and in the future.
