Starting pre-iPhone in 2008, OpenLitterMap was inspired by the open values of OpenStreetMap to become its real-time data collection layer. Litter & plastic pollution are the first applications of our technology. Simply take a photo, upload it, and tag what you see in the image. You can use this to map anything: - brands - products - materials - large or small quantities - bags of litter - individual cigarette butts - overflowing bins - dumping - your positive environmental impact - sticky floors - team effort - and a lot more. Keep the map open to see live updates. All code and data is available open source. By doing the work, users earn Littercoin - a non-tradable zero waste climate currency that can only be spent with participating green-listed stakeholders. Have fun!
