Our Soil/Nuestros Suelos provides a “do-it-together” approach for identifying toxic soil contamination in places where people live, work, and play. Participants anywhere in the world can download handbooks (English and Spanish), build low-cost soil testing kits, sample soil, and interpret results within their communities. This project does not require submitting data publicly, but results are shared selectively within workshops, studies, or community groups. Researchers may collect data only when it serves a defined study, and findings are disseminated via academic publications, toolkits, and local community efforts. Clear guidance on ethical data management, privacy, and community agreements is provided in the handbooks.
