Paddle For the Edge is a community science project assessing 42 miles of NJ's marshes to determine shoreline degradation or accretion. By collecting data on these dynamic habitats, volunteers help monitor shoreline changes due to physical and biological factors, providing valuable information for flood management, sea-level rise predictions, habitat restoration, and the evaluation of estuaries' recreational and commercial values.
