Jelajah Biodiversiti Pahang 2026 (JBP) or in English known as Pahang Biodiversity Adventure 2026 is a statewide citizen science initiative organised in conjunction with Citizen Science Month and City Nature Challenge Pahang 2026. For the first time, public libraries across all 11 districts in Pahang are coming together in a single collaborative initiative to connect local communities through biodiversity observation, environmental awareness, and citizen science activities. The programme is implemented through district public libraries, serving as community connectors that bring together participants from schools, colleges, universities, and local communities who share an interest in nature, biodiversity, and environmental sustainability. Participants are encouraged to explore their local surroundings, document biodiversity, and contribute species observations using the iNaturalist platform. Activities include biodiversity walks, citizen science learning sessions, community engagement programmes, and hands-on field participation involving students, librarians, educators, researchers, and members of the public. This initiative aims to strengthen scientific literacy, promote inclusive community participation in science, and position libraries as active hubs for citizen science, environmental education, and sustainability.
