The goal of this project is not only to cleanup plastic litter along roadways, but to raise awareness of how the photo-degradation of plastic litter, among other forms of litter, can harm numerous wildlife species in hopes of encouraging people to use less plastic or dispose of it responsibly. You can participate in our group project meetings monthly, or give input on your own time while hiking, walking, or anything else outside. We are interested in amounts of litter and its location of its greatest abundance, but particularly interested in older plastic litter that has begun its slow photo-degredation process. ANY input is greatly appreciated!
