The project aims to investigate the evolution of animal camouflage in different habitats and against different predators. It is based on camouflage in ground-nesting birds.
Participants play the games and search for hidden eggs or adults birds from a range of species of birds from Africa (nightjars and plovers), and play the games as one of several different species of predator, whose visual systems differ.
The results help us to understand how different types of camouflage work and evolve in different habitats.
