The Great Victorian Fish Count is the largest marine citizen science event in Victoria. It is an initiative of the Victorian National Parks Association's ReefWatch program. It runs annually, and has been going for the last 11 years. Hundreds of divers from dive clubs, community groups, school and other groups are involved in recording thousands of fish along the Victorian coast. The project provides a ‘snapshot’ of important fish species living in the temperate coastal waters of Victoria.
