Join Soldiers2Scientists as we help Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Ridge Rangers with their Monthly BioBlitz Project! We need your help conducting Ecological Reconnaissance at FWC properties, collecting important sightings of as many species as possible. This BioBlitz will help our local FWC Biologists to better understand the population abundance of certain species within FWC's Properties. These efforts help our scientists establish a biodiversity baseline they'll use to direct research and conservation decisions. We will mostly be looking for and documenting animal or bird species, but any noteworthy plant and fungi species can be documented as well. These types of BioBlitz events will be an ongoing project throughout the fall/winter/spring to better map out our local Lake Wales Ridge species around various FWC management areas. We will be meeting at the intersection of Grand Concourse and Hines Way. The closest address to search on Google/Apple Maps would be 4116 Grand Concourse, Sebring Fl 33875 and this will bring you just across the street to our meeting location. Signs will be available to assist with where to park, but keep your eyes peeled for FWC trucks at that intersection across the street from this address. There will be plenty of space to park your car within the boundary fence or outside the fence if you would like." The GPS coordinates are: 27.378901, -81.435501
