River Detectives is an exciting education initiative of Victorian Catchment Management Authorities inspiring teachers and students to understand, appreciate and care for their local waterway through engaging, cross-curricular, citizen-science activities.
It is a free, flexible and fun way to connect young people via schools or youth groups to waterways and catchments through monthly water quality testing, macroinvertebrate sampling and habitat surveys.
Data is uploaded to the River Detectives website and affiliated with the Victorian WaterWatch data portal.
