All across the Western Hemisphere, birds are taking flight, at night, to return to their wintering grounds. But bright lights from cities confuse them and can result in fatal collisions by the thousands! In our next SciStarter LIVE! on Tuesday September 26, 2023 at 2pm ET, learn about efforts across the country to turn off the lights to protect migrating birds. We'll hear from Don Ficken from Lights Out Heartland and Jill Nugent with the North Texas Lights Out Initiative.
New events will be added as they are confirmed so we recommend that you bookmark this link https://scistarter.org/go/LIVE and check back regularly to review and register for upcoming LIVE events!
SciStarter LIVE is a weekly event where you can join us on Zoom or watch the live stream on SciStarter’s Facebook page as we work through a citizen science project together. We’ll demonstrate the project and answer your questions. If you register, we will email you a YouTube link to the recording.
Before the event, you’re invited to sign up for a SciStarter account at https://scistarter.org/login if you haven't already (optional) and have a look at the featured project.
