Water quality monitoring is an essential part of a healthy community - not just for the humans, but the animals (large and microscopic) that live there as well. This talk will cover some of the core monitoring programs carried out by Orange County Environmental Resources, including some of the procedures, technologies and tools that are used in environmental monitoring. In addition, we will talk about what we are looking for in the various bodies of water and how these programs are integral for our community. Speaker Bio: Michael Mori is an Environmental Resources Specialist with the County of Orange. He received his Master's from UC Santa Barbara in 2014 and his B.S. in Earth System Science from UC Irvine in 2012.
